Lennart Heyndels (°1990) is a Belgian bassist and electronic musician based in Brussels who performs in a wide variety of musical settings. Besides his solo work he is also half of the experimental pop duo Hi Hawaii and bassist in a number of internationally renowned ensembles such as Ben Sluijs Quartet, Kaja Draksler Octet, Alex Koo Trio and Les Chroniques de l'Inutile.

His first solo album 'Halling' (2020) was an exploration in combining acoustic and electronic elements in search of an organic electronic music. On his new record 'Brussels MIDI', he continues building upon this bio-electronic sound; out of the same ambient-electronic undergrowth Lennart cultivates an oasis of associative midi-patterns, hydrating synth-melodies and strangely danceable ankle breakers.

Brussels MIDI will be released in november 2022 on the bwaa. label in a limited edition on vinyl - each copy will have its own unique, randomly generated artwork designed by Victor Van Rossem.
